This jack, when installed correctly, provides the alarm panel with quick disconnect to meet USOC rules. This provides the customer an easy way to determine if alarm panel is causing phone line problems internally. Always connect a phone line for proper line seizure as the manufacturer indicates in the installation manual. Failure to connect this properly may prevent the alarm panel from calling out.
